The medieval village becomes the "Christmas village" in December
Every December, and until the first week of January, Óbidos turns into one big Christmas theme park. The medieval village becomes the “Christmas Village,” attracting families and children of all ages, with special events, shows, and lots of Christmas spirit.

Entrance to the "Christmas Village"
Regular attractions include Santa Claus’ house, and, of course, Christmas trees, elves, reindeer, snowmen, and lots of lights.
Although the entire village is dressed up for the occasion, the festival happens behind the castle, and admission is charged.
In the past, events have included performances of The Nutcracker, magic shows, puppet shows, concerts, and circus shows.

In 2023, the festival takes place from November 30th to December 31st.
